# How long do I have to request a Traffic Tribunal hearing?

The refusal summons sets your initial Tribunal appearance, and the suspension is imposed there under § 31-27-2.1(b). You request the full hearing in writing; § 31-27-2.1(d) then requires the Tribunal to afford it within 15 days of your request. Do not wait for the initial appearance to call a lawyer - the advisory and arrest-grounds challenges need to be ready by then.
